As most of you know, I built a mini gym in my basement where I have been working out since I moved to my new house last August. Even having with a space to exercise at home I would still go for outdoor runs, workout at my work gym or try different fitness classes sometimes. However, with the COVID 19 and the #stayhome order, I have been only working out at home and made a list of 5 equipments that will help you to get the most out of your at-home workouts.
We all need a yoga mat even if you don’t practice yoga.It will help neutralize any surface you are standing on at home plus gives you cushioning while making your workout safer.
Very convenient and easy to storage equipment. Jump ropes are great for cardio circuits, warm-up and active rests between sets.
This is probably my favorite equipment to use during my home workouts. Lower body, upper body and core exercises. You can basically do a full-body workout just by using resistance bands and get a really goo workout in.
Here is my second favorite equipment. Stability ball is specially great for core and lower body exercises, posture, muscle toning and flexibility enhancer. The stability ball helps us build overall stronger core which will improve our performance in other activities such as running and strength workouts.
If you’re more into the lift training, you should definitely get a set of dumbbells. I personally have a set that goes from 10-30 lbs and I love it. It gives me the chance to mix it up my workouts and types of exercises.
