As you probably know, I decided to challenge myself and signed up to run my very first half-marathon in October. My longest run was a 10K back in April so running a 21K race will definitely be a challenge, both physically and mentally.
This is my fifth week of training, I’m loving the journey and have learned a lot since when I started. If you’re new to the “running world” or is thinking about starting long distance training, this is for you 🙂 Here are some personal tips I think you should know.

5 TIPS FOR A HEALTHIER LIFE
Set Attainable Goals:I think this is the most important one. Setting up a goal and having the desire to change, is the very first step. Grab a paper/phone, write down your goals and set a deadline to achieve them. I personally love writing down my goals so I can cross them out whenever I achieve them. I also like to set goals for the week and even for the day. Short-term goals can be achieved faster, and will motivated us to keep working towards the long-term goals.

Who loves wearing athletic-wear? I sure do! Even when I’m not at the gym working out, I’m almost always wearing activewear. I wear it at the grocery store, when I’m chilling at home, running errands, shopping, and I even wear gym clothes at work – I can wear Athleisure at the office and I love it!
Comfort is EVERYTHING! Besides, you can’t go wrong with a comfy pair of leggings. Am I right?!
Can you believe Summer is almost over? My last year of Grad School starts tomorrow, and I’m excited to be back to the school grind! Especially now that will be learning about my favorite subject: Strategic Marketing. Can’t wait!

I’ve been getting lots of questions lately about how I got started with my Instagram and Blog, so I decided to finally share with you how everything started and my life changing story with you’ll 🙂
THE OLD SHEINA
Growing up I was always a tall “skinny” girl. I started playing volleyball when I was 8-years old and my life was always about volleyball practices, laps around the gym, workouts, agility trainings, and tournaments. LOVED every second of it!
Even though I was an athlete for almost my entire life, my eating habits were not the best. Cookies, soda, candy and fried foods were big part of my daily eating routine. The years went by and in 2009 I received a full-schorlaship to come play college volleyball in a Junior College in Liberal, KS. When I first arrived in the United States I was overwhelmed by all the food options, and how much cheaper they were compared to Brazil. Even practicing 5 days a week for approximatly 3 hours a day, by end of November I had gained a little over 10 LBS (can’t remember for sure).
